Lilly is a pedantic creative sort who likes things to be just so. She came up with the idea to start the mess project with her sibling as a way to loosen up around creative pursuits and keep in touch in a fun way. She likes poetry, knitting and reading, and will bend your ear about all three given half a chance.
Not Him is a barely less pedantic sort, who mostly inflicts it on computers and tries to be nice to people. It's harder than it sounds. Xhe chose to get two copies of this book, whilst in Waterstones with hir sister, because papery books are amazing. Xhe's a natural born follower, following hir sister into this mess, and very much looking forward to it. Not Him likes reading, the internet's more positive possibilities and crochet, can't knit to save hir life, and is a keen listener and (apparently) good at hugs too.
